Wow, THANKS EVERYONE!
I want to thank all of you who responded to my insurance issues both on list and by private mail. And also, I thank all of you for your encouraging notes!!! I felt HUGGED, and I needed that. I think it was Joy who went into detail about insurance coverage and that is helpful. And those of you who are in the same spot as me who wrote helped me to feel less isolated. And I appreciate those of you who said some prayers for me. They must have worked because I'm calm, collected and relaxed. And thanks, too, for encouraging me to go ahead and start working on my health now! That is an excellent idea. The worst that could happen is I would lose too much weight for the surgery, and I wouldn't mind that at all :). I've started looking at the different hospitals I can end up working for and at interviews I have asked them about insurance coverage issues, and it looks like I may have found a place that will waive pre-existing conditions and consider WLS. ARE SO VERY HELPFUL!!!! I interviewed with Brookwood today and asked them if they do bariatric surgery, and the answer is they are working on starting up a program, and it is a priority for them. I guess that's about it for now. I decided to sum it all up in one email, and I hope that's OK. I feel deep appreciation and even friendship here!
