Watch them fryers folks...

I know that for Joy and I our "love" for food will never go away, and to
satisfy our culinary cravings, we watch The Food Network, HSN and all
the other late night infomercials and have been tempted more than once
to purchase a product. So, if any of you have been punching phone
numbers and talking to strangers in a low voice in the middle of the
night and have ordered this item from HSN or another source, you might
want to contact the company, or at least send in the product
registration card so they'll send you a "Non-Exploding" version.

'Exploding' Frying Pans Recalled
Wed Jan 15,11:24 AM ET
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - About 8,700 frying pans sold through the Home
Shopping Network are being recalled because they can "explode" while in
use, U.S. safety regulators and Innova Inc. say.
Two consumers have been burned from hot oil and there have also been
eight reports of property damage involving the frying pans, the
Davenport, Iowa-based Innova reported to the U.S. Consumer Product
Safety Commission (news - web sites).
"The pans can explode or separate when preheated, used on high heat or
used for frying," the safety commission said Tuesday in a statement.
The commission said consumers do not need to return the recalled Ultrex
Thermal/Double Wall pans as customers who bought the products will
receive a free replacement in the mail.
USA Interactive's Home Shopping Network sold the pans from October 2001
through September 2002 individually and as part of a set.
For more information on the recall contact Innova at (800) 845-7447 or
