I thought this information would be useful for those who have Blue
Cross and Blue Shield Insurance, especially in Alabama.
After attending a meeting with the Medical Review team to find out
just what they do,and how they determine Medical Need in so many
different procedures, I learned that if you are approved for the
Gastric Bypass Surgery, that they will pay for the inital visit if
your Doctor's office will resubmit the claim with a copy of the
approval letter from them. This was exciting news to me and I will
definately have Dr. Miles' office do that. Money is tight here and I
could use what I paid for the visit.
I hope this helps many others that has had to pay their inital visit.
