dumping syndrome
I am pre-op. I think that I already may have dumping syndrome. When I eat something very sweet, like a huge piece of cake, I have to run to the bathroom to keep from having an accident, and I get sweaty. I've never checked my blood pressure or anything at those times. I've lived with it for so long that I've gotten used to it. Some weeks are bad for it, and others I don't have it at all. Of course it could be some other thing go on. I suppose that if I really do have dumping syndrome already, that I'll have to be extra careful post-op. I've been diabetic since @ 1990, and I read in a diabetes book that dumping syndrome often happens in diabetics with nerve damage. Guess I'm just thinking out loud! OK--this next thing is off topic. I have two parakeets. I have a blue one that I've only had a few weeks, and he does the cutest thing. I have a ladder in the cage. When he sleeps at night he lays his head on the next step up and uses it like a pillow. Most birds
tuck their head into their wings. It's just cute. First time I saw it I thought he was sick, but he's just different. ~Sandy
