Anything else I should know?
Greetings all, I am a 32 y/o female, and I am getting prepared to have
Gastric Bypass Surgery. I am 5'6 and approx 330 lbs. Has anyone out
there ever had the Laporoscopic type of bypass surgery? That is what
I am having done. Also, does anyone out there have Blue Cross/Shield
Insurance they are saying that this is "elective surgery " for me.
Just curious if they (BC & BS) have approved it for any other members?
I am not really concerned, as my parents can fortunately afford to pay
cash for the surgery (which come to find out is about $8,000.00
cheaper if you are not involved with the Insurance Companies. Dr.
Douglas Olsen in Nashville, TN @ Centennial Medical Center is going to
be doing the procedure on me. I have a friend that had the same
surgery done on July 14th and The day she went in for surgery she wore
a size 3x/4x or 26/28 (284lbs)...and this past Wed. She bought a size
14 and weigs in at 174! And she looks FANTASTIC! ARGH! I can not
wait to be skinny! Can anyone tell me expierences with this type of
procedure, pain, discomforts, etc. Input from ANYONE would be greatly
appreciated!
