Anyone with Chronic Hepatitis C had the Gastric Bypass
Hi,
I am brand new to this news group. I am going through Duke Hospital
and will hopefully get to have the lap gastric bypass. However,
since we know I have hepatitis C, they are sending me to a liver
specialist to make sure my liver is healthy enough for the surgery.
(I see the specialist on Wednesday, Jan 29th.)
Just wondering if any of you know of anyone who had Hep C who has
had the surgery? If so, were there special problems? (By the way,
previous liver biopsies - the last one in 1998 - showed only problem
with liver was "chronic hepatitis C and fatty liver". My doctor
recommended weight loss.)
